Heidi Elbers is a New York-based artist and the Director of Exhibitions and Alumni Affairs at the New York Academy of Art. Originally from New Orleans, Louisiana, her work is heavily influenced by her Cajun heritage and the landscapes of southeastern Louisiana.

Her paintings frequently feature the flora and fauna of the bayou, such as alligators, nutria, and magnolias, as well as figures inspired by Cajun tales like the rougarou and feu follet.

Her work has been shown at prestigious venues including Sotheby’s, Gagosian, and Flowers Gallery.
