Off to Mars

In this dreamlike landscape, the journey to Mars becomes a chaotic collage of earthly fragments. A rocket-fish bursts from the sea, an octopus clings to its tail, and scraps of metal scatter from a drifting tin can. Below, a lone dog sits in a desert clearing, gazing upward.

The work  juxtaposes humanity’s obsession with space exploration against the unresolved entanglements of Earth — from pollution and displacement to the persistence of life in unlikely forms. Mars is both destination and mirror, reflecting our restless urge to escape while carrying our debris along with us.
