Beast of Burden

Human activity is typically considered separate from the natural world which is philosophically debatable but understandable from our perspective. What our industrial activity imposes on the natural world has negative perceptions held by the very people who are doing the imposing. I am no exception. We didn’t start out with the intent to destroy the environment but human nature has arrived at this point in time. But the truth is that we just don’t know what new paradigm may emerge, and it’s possible we find a way to be in a better place. That hope is what this piece is about.
